Sascha Wild, born in 1976, defines himself as a drummer and sampling-artist.

While studying music at the Hochschule für Musik Rheinland-Pfalz in Mainz, he explored the integration of electronic sound and beat devices as an addition to the acoustic drum set. Experimenting with blending electronic and acoustic sounds, this mixture became part of his style and the microphone a toy-like instrument for recording and creation.

His specific approach led to various collaborations and works, for instance:

soundtrack "Markus Lüpertz-Mein Leben" (Arte/Avanti Media), 2009;
theatre-sound
"Entlegene Inseln" (Staatstheater Mainz), 2006;
sounddesign DVD "Lichtspielhaus Rammstein" (Universal/Torpedo), 2003;
eventperformance
"Zukunft+Nachhaltigkeit" (Bundesrat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung/Sauerbrei+Raabe), 2007;
sideman
for Karl Bartos (2010), Sylvie Marks
(Roskilde Festival 2005).
